Ok, I've got to ask. What's the deal with digging up these signs? Were you aware of some that were buried or just went to an old salvage yard or ??? Inquiring minds want to know. Thanks

With my bottle digging, I am physically in an old dump site. besides bottles, other things such as signs randomly come outta the ground.

bagged1961...Im slow with a computer. I'll try posting some more tonight. wolf1980...I found the first sign sticking out of the ground just abit. Its a old dump site on a abandond road. I heard its the same spot the cops destroyed all the confiscated booze during prohibition. The amount of broken glass proves that. Most still have a cap on them. Alot of french(Quebec) bottles also. The newest license plate I dug out of it was 1955 so thats a clue as to when it was last used. THE AMERICAN GARAGE...I just started collection bottles this summer. We found a pit full of 1800s era bottles & thats all it took to get me hooked. Everytime I go out its a mission for porcelain signs...anything else is extra.
Thanks everyone, Jeremy

With the file size requirement with the file manager way of posting photos (the only one I know) bmp photo's stay small. If you have a program on your computer to change it to a jpg, the 150 size limitation will make the picture bigger than the same file as a bmp. I've seen some on here with quite large photos but I am not sure what photo import program they are using.
Good luck!

Thank you Nicole! I'll try. Ive had other photos work on the forum without any problem. I tried to shrink a couple in photoshop & now there still full size but the image is a small square in the corner.lmao I thinks thats the problem.

Thanks for the explanation, that's very interesting. Wish I could run up on one of those.
