I snagged this NOS Phillips sign at Iowa Gas! There were 3 available in differing condition but I took a chance and waited until thursday afternoon and got a pretty good discount on it!

Jim: As far as I know Texaco had three versions of this map holder. The first was an "older" looking version that said "Texaco Road Maps Give Accurate Road Information" and has small looking versions of the 42" round Gasoline/Motor Oil signs on it. The next one is like yours, but as the phrase "You're Welcome" on it, the next one is yours and then they went to a wire rack that had four place holders for maps and said "Texaco Touring Service" on it. That is a nice one you have.

Joey, I was the backup bidder on that Lion Premium sign. That was the last one of the group that I needed. Randy that Cities Service sign cleaned up nicely. I bought one from same group at it also came out nice. Some minor paint loss/rust at two grommet holes.

Jim, thanks to my "Buddy" blacktee; I have such a map holder and 3 "area" maps... The maps are dated 1957 and on the front proudly announce that Texaco has Dealers in ALL 48 States.....

I am guessing that this particular Texaco Touring Service advertising was used in the mid to late 50s... During the "Interstate Highway Boom"....

Here is a photo so you and any others looking, will know what maps to look for:

As one can see, the back of the map is without the announcement..

Today's find. Ends are cut, they were used as a building material but good color for a 1952 signs.

Recent finds. Patch kit is full! Both large cans have "shell" embossed on them. The taller one has "shell" small and near the top and also has a shell brass tag hanging. Got lucky snagging this stuff!

Yes Sir! Serial number dates it to be a 1952 I believe. I wasn't really interested in it at first, but I'm really happy I ended up getting it in the package deal.

I just got this from neatoldstuff Mark. A real honest and caring guy.

He packaged it to be bullet proof and it took me 20 - 30 minutes to get it out of the box. Thanks for a great transaction, Mark. Love it.
