Here's for you Texaco collectors that have a little more money than me smile. I think it's a pretty good deal and in good shape.

The sign is not rare...the question is how much is the frame and base worth?

That's exactly what I was thinking. I've seen the sign sell for about as much, maybe a little less, but it's my first time seeing an original base.

Not trying to be argumentative, but that sign isn't worth any where close to $700. That is (in my opinion) a $300 sign on a good day, and this is being generous.

It's one of those we don't see in Georgia much. It's tempting to make the drive to Pensacola.

'$300 on a good day?'

...ehh, I have to disagree...I think the frame/base would be worth at least $200 to someone who had a nice sign for it...and the sign alone would bring $200-250 to a even casual collector...I mean, it's got 'Texaco' on it...together, maybe a little more...I think there are plenty of people who would give $500 or a little more for the sign, as shown...

I was just talking about the sign being worth $300....I would pay $500 for the sign, frame, and base...sell the sign and upgrade for a nicer one.

You have to look at the value of curb signs in many ways. The first question to ask is where is it located? Would you pay $100-$150 to ship a not so great sign to just have the base pole and frame? I am sure many of us have ran into this situation as i have on numerous occasions. Sure the sign frame and base might be worth $xxx if your at a show or swap meet then you can physically take it home. If you watch eBay closely most of the not so great curb signs that are COMPLETE sit on there for a while. Sometimes you have to know when to draw the line or you will have too much $$$ tied up getting the base and pole....and the thing is if a seller has a not so great sign thats complete....most of the time they wont split them up!
