I was just floating around the site and ran into this post. I never look at people that are bidding, even in my own auctions. i did check it out and saw that it was two guys allegedly fighting it out. But i was impressed with the final price. I have the same clock in near mint original condition that one had some condition issues I will be putting my clock in auction soon. the way I get a rough measure of desirability is how many people are watching an auction and how many have viewed it. that clock had over 1,100 views and over 200 people watching it. I have auctioned quite a few clocks and signs in my day and never saw that many people viewing a clock. I did not know what to think. I know other than mine i have only seen a couple other champion clocks like that which mine still has label and was made by neon products Lima Ohio throughout the years which makes it uncommon. I will try to check to see was it two guys fighting over the clock? And sign god for 700 did you pick that clock up for the collection. as far as iam concerned would of been a steal. but who knows really??
