Sure HOPE your learning to Weld/Repair Pot/White Metal. There are quite a few here that have pieces that need to be be fixed.

Im very intrested in it. Seeing all the broken tops for great pumps and broken hard to find bezels out there makes me want to be able offer a service once ive mastered it.

Ask for tops as well. The face bezels weld alot easier than the tops! Those tops are a pain!

Have had good luck with Screwing the breaks together with a piece in back and then JB weld. Grind excess off and go from there on the tops.

They weren't made to last as long as they have & who knew at the time WE would be collecting/restoring them?

My 76 top has a hairline so ill get some practice on it. I can't wait for summer to be over and be back at school. Jb weld is just masking the problem though. If you deposit enough metal while welding the grind flush it should hold and not just be masked
