I have two pumps, one is red Model #1006D18, Serial #GR9346. The second one is silver, Model #1004321, Serial #KK16067. The silver one has a plug in the center of the top. I was wondering if this one is supposed to have a globe? I am looking for a book that is good on identifying gas pumps. I would like to know what kind of value these pumps have, and the year? Here are two pictures. Thank you for any help.. Wendell http://www.linkny.com/~birdseye/pump50.jpg http://www.linkny.com/~birdseye/pump51.jpg

When your pumps were introduced in 1956 Gilbarco called the pumps the "Sales-Maker." The 1004 was made in October, 1958, it had a 13' 4" radius on the hose. The 1006 was made in July, 1965 (assuming the "R" in the serial number is correct), had a inside extension hose with a 14' 4" reach. Both of these pump could be ordered to hold a globe.
At the present time there is no pump identification book available, but within a few days I will be signing a book deal for a book that identifies around 2000 gas pumps. Look for it around the end of the year.
