I am ready to paint a Bennett 646 in Mobil red and wonder if anyone has used the Sherwin Williams paint number from the restoration book and is it a good match. I took my pump decal to the paint store and they said the red area is to small to scan....Or is there off the shelf color that is a good match for Mobil

Sherwin has exterior lead free color selector. I found my Texaco red and had them mix in ultra 7000. it matched good, but the white i used was not, because it was just what i had at the time. Go to my posts and you will see the texaco lubester. Art

Don't know how it matches your decals, but good old "Rangoon Red" from Ford or IIRC "Roman Red" from Chevy, both originally 60s colors, are a great match to Mobil red.
