He posted this thread a couple weeks ago:

Sounds like he is home now but will be awhile before he is back up and computing...

Looks like he posted a message on April 29th. I sent him an e-mail a few days ago but have not heard back from him yet.

Thanks everybody,
I am doing a bit better. It may be a while before I can get back to computers. Two came in while I was gone and they will have to wait.
I am staying at my sisters and don't know when I will go home.
Still in some pain from cracked ribs from CPR. But on top of it all I am quitting cigarettes so it's AAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!AAAAHHH!!!AAAHHH on top of everthing else. The patch is helping.
Thanks again everyone
Joe

Joe--Recovery time does take a while from something like this and it seems to go oh so ever slow, but its needed when you go thru something like you have. Time will pass and you'll be able to do the things you enjoy again and you have to give thanks for that!
I've had a couple of major surgeries and I was always very thankful when I woke up but man o man that recovery time is painfully slow! Looking back, I am glad I took my time and let everything heal the way it did.
Not too long ago my wife bought herself a NOOK and she reads from it a lot. You might try that to pass the time. Just a thought!
Get well my friend--we're thinking of you! KEVIN

Joe- I smoked like a locomotive from the ages 13-40. I finally quit 12 years ago and I have to say its one of the best things I've ever done for myself as well as my family. Not to mention an automatic pay raise. When you really think about it, its a really crazy addiction. Lung cancer is a terrible way to die. Hang in there and dont smoke NO MATTER WHAT. It'll get a little easier each day!

Joe,
Take it from a guy who is even older than you, you need to be more concerned about yourself than rebuilding those computers.

Just decide you need, two, three or even more weeks, or even change that to months, to get your s--- back together. Just answer your emails, tell the guys, this is a hobby, and it will take a little longer than antisipated, if they can't wait, tell them you will send their computer back the next day.

You are more important than any computer.

Jack Sim

Being a plumber I am in different places every day, this staying in one spot is driving me nuts. My ribs are feeling a little better, but the healing time is way different than the last hernia surgery when I was back to work in 2 days.
Thanks guys for all the good wishes
Joe
