Looks like( the_crusader ) is crusading,,, he bid an item to win and never paid just so he could leave negative feedback, good on him,, great sacrifice...
Best part is, I don't think (cosasviejasmex) even gets it ??? LOL !!!!

Funny how those rusty backs always look the same whether it's Argentina, Mexico or somewhere else.
One funny thing, in reading this sellers feedback, one satisfied buyer said "You always know what you are getting from this seller."

...say...wouldn't it be great if a bunch of like-minded individuals were to bid on all of this guy's 'old' stuff everytime he lists on eBay, and never pay for it?...enough of that, and maybe he'd go away......that'd be a tragedy...

...yeah, there's that...

...of course, if 1000 people each did it just one time, it could work...

Problem is that when your pump plates get sold again, several years from now, when you're not around---who will be there to identify them as reproductions?
The same signs are available from US manufacturers and are marked as such! By buying from this counterfeiter, you are only helping the problem instead of counteracting it! Each sign purchased from him only adds to the problem at some future time!
I don't care what he's selling, you only add to the problem by buying it, and I will never buy anything from him!

Not if they go to the right auctiin house.....heck they might be worth $500 even advertised as repops?? If some moron millionaire forks out that much......then you probably will make money.

Well guys if its any consolation, i may have gotten even for all of us. I low balled and low balled this guy until he finally sold me a sign
for $250 that was later appraised for $800 and i resold for even more. Honestly i think the fool doesn't even know what he sells.
Anyway what comes around goes around, i guess i burned him this time ! smile

Where was it appraised and by who? The repops are pretty good and one has to be knowledgeable of which signs are being reproduced and current with all the various players. Simply being a quasi collector or an antique dealer for 50 years in itself is not enough to be appraising items.

I agree with Jim..."who was the lucky buyer????"

The appraiser, you and the next buyer could all be victims.
