Wow!

The total varies, but that's the highest we have ever had online at once. The statistics are on the Portal page on the bottom of right column.

"Max Online: 1539 @ Wed Apr 18 2012 10:49 PM"

Since most of them were on one forum, I'd guess that some viral link was out there that brought lots of non-members to look at something specific. I'll have to look at the server logs to see what I can find.

Looks like the Michelin Man Compressor topic in the Value forum got the spike in traffic. Probably was mentioned in a blog/Twitter/Facebook post that has a lot of followers.

I know exactly why it was that high. Last nights new episode of American Restoration had a small Michelin man compressor that he restored for a guy for $1500. I did not catch the final apprasal by Ricky at the end....but he mentioned when the guy brought it in it could be worth tens of thousands?

If you search Michelin man compressor on Google... that oldgas thread comes up at the very top.

Does anyone know what crazy price he put on that thing at the end....I'm curious!

Jim

The "customer" said he got it for $40. Rick said it was worth about $3500 to as much as $4500 after restoration.

I seem to remember seeing a similar pump being found on American Pickers some time back. Not sure.

I recall one on storage wars Texas, but not the one in the first picture on that forum, the smaller one.
