To me...The grommets look really, really shiny.......and if that dripping stuff on the back is just oil or something and was wiped off....well......the back would be very clean.

I'm not sure if it the lighting? But the plate on ebay looks off to me, it looks almost dirty brown instead of crisp white... Also, the black outline looks too thick..... But, maybe it is just my eyes?

Here are 4 pump plates have were sold in auctions the last 5 years.... The last one is seems to have been made for a visible....

The 2 I have look the same on the back as the one on ebay. Looks real to me. Nicest one I have seen for sale.

they are not White, they are more of a cream color.

I imagine that's dried paint on the back from when someone painted a pump with the sign on it. Someone probably has cleaned the front side of the sign with steel wool, and shined the grommets accidentally in the process. I know I have done that to a sign or two.

The sign looks legit to me. Nice sign!
