Hello everybody, I'm a brand new member with a common question I'm sure. I'd like to find out how much my Humble Gasoline sign is worth. It is 42" in diameter. Both sides are in good shape, but the side you see in the pic is of course, the best side. I'd really appreciate any information/advice I can get. Thanks a million!
Gary

Could anyone give an idea as to the age of this sign? I've often been asked how old it was and really have no idea. Thanks, Gary.

It's from the Circa 1920's time frame....so about 85-90 years old.

sign is from the mid 30's

Esso collectible handbook by Sam McIntyre....page 136

your sign looks to be faded...blue should be a lot brighter and darker....maybe the way the pic was taken...still a nice sign.

I will agree with Randy on the 800-1200 range.

...I think it's the flash...if the back is as nice as the front, that sign would sell before it hit the ground for $800-1200, at Dixie, Columbus, etc...

No, I still have the sign. But, it's not for sale, never has been really. I was offered $2800 this week, contingent on the condition of the "back" side of course. I haven't seen the back side in about 21 years so I can't say how it looks now without taking down the sign.
