1937 GMC Petro Enthusiast Registered: Fri Apr 22 2011 Loc: DFW Texas	A friend of mine would like to trade this Butler 71 visible pump for a Clock Face; very good condition and has the original etched cylinder. Let me know what you have and we can see if we can work a deal. John Since John brought it up....I noticed that sheetmetal appears to be not original ...I don't see the embossing (hard to see in the picture).... and was made longer and overlaps the base by a couple more inches covering up the details of the base. I believe the sheetmetal is reproduced by someone? with the correct embossing. K W FRITH Veteran Member Registered: Sun Oct 21 2007 Loc: Devils Lake, ND---USA	It looks that way because its not a 71! Its a later model Butler and the sheet metal and base are correct. The pump actually bolts to a plate thats attached to the base with the 2 bolts that are showing! There was no cast iron access door either. Kind of a cheaper made copy of the Butler 71. I forget the model number of the pump??-----I think it was an 87?? I have had one before and I sold it to "Old Racer". Maybe he remembers the model number. The owner has taken off the skins and they are original, there are some markings as well that I will post pictures of. Am I protected by a 14 month return policy?? You want me to remember what model that was? That pump is long gone.
