Not until after I had seen the video. He was the original singer of the song right?

The difference between ledet's and his is pretty obvious. With technology aside, Sledge sings in a more mild soothing tone, and Joshua is more of a soul church gospel style. Ive never heard the original until now and it is good.

Now...do you like the original or Joshua's better? I Guess it would depend which style/genre of music one likes.

although i like both versions,i like percy sledge better.BUT the live version is not as good as the one you hear on the radio usually.can remember hearing that after the breakup with a girlfriend, and then playing it over and over!(course we had vinyl then)just remember it as one of the most powerful songs of its time.so a little nostalgic,or maybe "im just getting old fast"but very happy to see a younger guy doing a classic, other than "some" of this newer stuff that i just dont care for. i liked the version of "oh darling "(beatles) i heard the other day by one or the other show contestants!(again cant remember if it was "dancing with the singers, americas got dancers,or the other one.must be that old thing again)ask maria,im their biggest critic!!LOL

I kept telling myself I've heard that voice I've heard that voice before. Then I went on YouTube and searched his name and a few links down his song was the theme song for sons of guns on history. He is a very good singer maybe I'll catch him someday when I'm 21 at the casinos around here, they usually bring in musicians like him but I don't think they've brought him yet.

Go on his website. I doubt he'll do the casino thing. Plays small venues. Unbelievable guitarist with no special effects. Not even a foot pedal. Also he started out playing the drums and is great on them too. You know what? He's also a really nice guy too! lol

Well One casino has a small little area where they have a band come play during the day. I can watch being 19 but can't go through the barrier LOL. They like to bring in Cajun/zydeco artists.

Closest to me is about an hour. Not bad! I'll have to check it out to see if I can make it.

Just looked, it's on a Thursday which is sort of a problem for me with college. Maybe I'll just skip my early classes that Friday. I'll see though! I think the concert is free too.
