Yeah that would be a tosser. If the label would come off I would take it off and dump the can. I have found that is the best way to preserve beat up cans, afterall its the label design that attracts me to most cans. I have some Miracal cans witha rainbow. That has to be 70's or early 80's with a price of $1.75

One of the many types of cans I collect. Great look when the label and cap match the color of the can. Stuff I am looking for....

Keeping the thread going, and sharing some of the cans I have been finding lately. Some of the cans in the mix came from other collectors here and are a happy addition to my collection. This is just a small example of the differnt types of cans that I do collect.

That is a very nice and well put together collection.

They make a recycler for aerosol cans that screws into the top of a 55 gallon drum. Has a filter that goes on the opposite side to prevent gases from escaping.
Punctures a small hole near the spray nozzle which would be under the cap. We use one at work for all our empty cans before tossing.
Don't know the cost... OUCH !!! never mind.

Interesting. This is a long debate amongst collectors. Lots of collectors prefer to have cans full an unsprayed, but I do feel differently about this. Every year I get a can or two that tends to spring a leak and either ruin cans near it, or ruins my wall. I have yet to figure a safe way of emptying the cans without ruining their look. Figured similar to beer can collectors and oil cans is to puncture the bottom, but with pressurized cans you risk the entire can exploding. The debate continues with collectors....

OK, I saw this spray can thread a few times so I finally got curious about it.
I did an eBay search and was surprised at how much these cans go for.
They were pretty interesting too.

Check it out:
