What would the age and value (if any) be on this can?

The earliest magazine ad I have found for the use of the "5 gallon square can" is Nov 1922. The ad is for Tide Water Oil's "New Fordol Oil from Veedol".

The price range for "square/rectangular" 5 gal cans seem to run from less than $10 to upwards of $200 depending on the brand and the graphics.

Sorry, I'm not familiar enough with Standard Oil items to give you a better idea on the value.

Sorry again, just put on my cheaters and noticed that the can is a 10# grease can, instead of a 5 gal oil can.

Value in the $15-$40 range, IMO.

I think late 20's early thirties. The orange/red version of the iso vis logos is earlier than the blue ones.
Value.... I would say 20 bucks just because I don't have one. Not looking to buy just saying what I would think if I seen it at a flee market or something. Too bad wasn't nicer condition.
