Just wanted to say hello. I've really been enjoying looking through the site. I have an Aqua Systems pump that I'd like to restore. The model number listed on it is 203850T. I've owned it for many years but never had the time to restore it. The last known location of it was at the old Iles&Shimp Chevrolet agency in Rosenhayn NJ. Here's a pic: My primary interest is my 1968 Dodge Super Bee. Someday, I'd love to have a Sunoco Custom Blending pump. Looking forward to visiting this site and learning more.

Welcome to Oldgas.com Shop Talk.
That is a great pump we seldom see. It looks like an Aqua 850T that was made special for Tydol Gas. Your number ends with 850T. Several pump companies made special model pumps for Tydol that include Tydol only chrome trim and mounts for the shoebox style globes.
Here is a Aqua 850T previously posted on Shop Talk.

Thanks for the comments and appreciation for my old pump. I had read that it was a Tydol pump. I would like to restore it as a Sunoco pump. Should I stick to restoring it as a Tydol? Also, the faces are not as good as they appear in the photo. I know that repro faces are available for the 850/855 models. The vendor advised that they are plain and do not have the graphics as shown. Would they be a better choice if done as a Sunoco pump? Were the graphics exclusive to the 850T? (lots of questions, huh?) Here's a better close up of the face surround.

i love that pump. its your pump and you can do what you want, but i'd suggest keeping it with tydol if you restore it. If you really want a sunoco custom blending pump i'm sure someone on here might have one

I would keep it Tydol because the top is differant than the regular 850, but it would be hard to find a shoebox globe. Here is what the regular top looks like. It is the blue one.

I have that same pump with the original shoebox mount. I also need faces for mine. Your pump should of had 2 strips that ran down the doors. If you look the holes are probably still there. You should keep it Tydol. Shoebox globes are hard to find as Matt has said but they sure are cool. Chad
Looking for Tydol-Veedol-Flying A items, especially globes.

After blasting the top, it has some holes around the bottom. I can weld in new metal so I'm not too concerned. Just have to match up the curved metal corners. The doors seem to be in excellent shape. There are holes, as mentioned. Should the stips be brightwork or painted? There are are also some additional holes that I assume are where a sign was attached. The holes don't seem to match up with anything that would Tydol or Flying A.

Strips should be brightwork. Other holes should be a pump plate or contains lead sign. Chad
