Just a quick question, guys. Today, I picked up three items from a retired Phillips 66 owner/operator. This double-sided porcelain sign is an odd bird. I am not familiar with the Phillips 66 signs with a white border. It’s dated 1957. Any info on the white border sign would be appreciated. Thanks!

That is like a transition sign before they went to the red & white logo in '59

These seem to turn up mostly in the south, where Phillips entered the market in 1953. Here in NC, I've never seen the regular one. Just a transitional piece.

Thanks for the information. A transitional sign make the most sense given the year (1957).
