#36 has a special 10 3/4" computer size I have seen in no other pump.
Took me 3 yrs to find one back in the day.
The 8" and 12" computers will not fit right.
Will be doing a couple for Southfloridagas next week. cool

Tops will have to be cut & side bars & top plate replaced.
Never tried it, but the factory used an adapter plate Under the top when they cut a 36B to work

This is indeed a great thread & very informative. I had no idea that I preferred a 36b all along (of course one with clock-face). I sure like all of AD GLASS that comes with the pump.

I have been told one can convert a computer version to that of a clock-face. Can an average collector notice the conversion using a conversion kit?

IF it was done correctly, probably Not. But most that do convert stop short & that is a Dead give away. YOU will always know even if no one else points it out.

Thanks DB.

Do you by chance have a picture of an ORIGINAL 36BDP (clock face) vs. a CONVERTED one from a computer?

So is the top on HuskyBob's pump all glass or is that steel? I found a 36 earlier this year on craigslist that had that same top. By the time I called him, it was already sold. I sure was bummed.

The conversion face looks different than the original clock face. Here is a link showing the two faces.

what I would like to know is WHY
did a #36 pump use a smaller computer that is unique
to that pump.
Tokheim Factory screw up?
Did Veeder Root have to make a head and price wheel shelves to compensate for Tokheim's screw up?
