While on vacation in Florida I noticed flea market stands selling various state car tags for about $15 ea. It is kind of neat to see some state plates from across the US from you. In Illinois I don't recall seeing plates from out west or the upper Atlantic regions. Is there any interest in trading some plates? I think I have a set of Illinois plates (we have a front plate too) from a van I sold. I may have pitched them. Mail me one of yours and I'll mail one of mine to you at the same time. Any takers?

I am collecting personalized and vanity plates from any state/year.
Also, any old plates, pre - 1925 or so.
My oldest is a 1914 Illinois that I'm working on restoring.
I would be interested in trading plates from distant lands like Hawaii, Alaska, NY, Vermont, etc. Basically non-midwest.
I am also looking for a very current Pennsylvania plate that has a tiger on it.

I bend the newer issue plates in half (90º angle) and use them on my birdhouses as roofs. I have over 100 Illinois steel plates that I paid 25¢ each for....but they are blue, red or yellow...very boring.

Looks like there is a little interest. I can't find my plates I took off a van I sold, but my brother-in-law runs a used car lot. I'll bet he has some. I've got a few more feelers out too.

I don't have a regular Illinois plate right now, but I do have an Illinois dealer plate from 2010. That would be kind of a rare thing to have. Would that be of interest?

I finally stumbled across the plates I thought I had. I have way too much stuff. Now I'm looking to trade stuff with someone else who has way too much stuff. How about trading a rear plate for a rear plate or a front for a front or a pair for a pair. Looking for maybe someone out west or in at least a few states away from Illinois. These plates were only used 2 years and are dent free and in very nice shape. They have a water mark type logo in the back ground of Lincoln like on a penny. Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Do you want to trade one of these for one of yours? I don't have either of one of those states. I could also trade one of these and a dealer plate. I have a motorcycle and a car plate. Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Here is a pair of Missouri plates I can trade someone too. My boss gave me a big box of them from 1969 through the 70's and some newer ones too. They aren't real colorful or graphic but the price is right. Uploaded with ImageShack.us

I like that BBB plate and that blue California plate. PM me your address and I'll send you the Illinois plate with the sticker on it and one of the Mo plates. I'll send my address back to you. That Illinois plate actually is much better than the picture shows. The camera flash made it look stained when it's not. I took it in the dark. I was too lazy to get up and turn the lamp on.

Hey 1968pickup, how about the Illinois plate without the sticker, the Mo plate or the dealers plates? Interested in trading for a nice ND and MN plate? PM me your address.

Any one else want to trade a late plate for one of these Illinois plates? I like the newer plates because they have colors and graphics that earlier plates lack. These need a bath, but are in good shape. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
