Help!
I am an avid collector of Vintage Novelty Candles, some of which were produced under the Socony-Vacuum Oil Company name. They were also known as Tavern Candles and frequently had the Pegasus logo on the label. I have the history of how the company itself evolved, but find very little about the candles. They were sold as retail items and also used as promotions for the company. If anyone can provide information on this subject or knows of a good book resource, I would be very appreciative!!
