In over 11 years of buying and selling on Ebay, I've never had anything like this happen to me before. I won these two signs Sunday night, and was pleased with the prices: 180651784210 and 180651786068. I paid for the signs within 24 hours with paypal. The next morning, I get an email saying that the Seller has refunded my money and requested to cancel the auctions. The Seller told me that because of a "domestic dispute" the signs were no longer available. I denied their request to cancel the auctions, re-sent my payment and told them to ship my signs. I'm not worried about getting my money back because the purchases are protected under the Buyer Protection Program. The Seller has gone silent, and will not respond to any of my emails. Then tonight I find these two auctions for the same signs with a different Ebay user id: 190524900164 and 190524902039. While it is possible they sold the signs to someone local and the new owner put them on Ebay, I doubt that is what happened. They weren't happy with the prices from the auctions I won, and relisted the signs under a different user name. I contacted Ebay, and they won't do anything. They just told me to leave negative feedback for 1cubby and request a refund. I can't believe it is that easy for a Seller to back out of an auction. I know it is doubtful that I will ever get my signs. What would you guys do?

Get a second eBay user ID and bid a millon dollars in each auction. Heck, have your friend run you up to $950,000 on each one. When the auction ends, refuse to pay. The you will see how easy it is to be a non-payer on eBay. Ebay will send you a notice that you have not paid for the items. Do not respond, and they (eBay) will do just about as much to help the seller as they did to help you as the buyer.
Not the best options, but I am sure the seller will be just as happy as you are right now.

check feedback, dont assume a 322 and 100% means anything. Beside his name , within his feedback, is the icon that shows he changed his ebay name. Why would he do that??

That's interesting. I don't know why they would do that. Doesn't the same person have 322 and 100%, or not necessarliy?

Bridgecricker is the name I found the sign under today. It has 3 feedbacks. It also has a different state and town for the seller.

I've been emailing Bridgcricker about the signs. They told me they would sell me the signs for the same price that I won them for before, and they supposedly don't even know what price I won them for! I can't figure out what they are trying to do. My money was refunded, so I'm staying away at this point. I really wanted that Sinclair sign.

I do not know this guy, but originally these sign where 30 miles from me, so I bid on them as well. I asked if I could pick these items up and he told me I couldn't because he lived in Columbia. I said that was fine and didn't matter, as I could make a trip of it. No response. A friend of mine bought an item from him and never got it as well as he returned his money. The exact same thing happened to me on a can that he had, however he didn't list it again. He is a POS, scam artist. EBAY doesn't give a rat's A**.

last scam pulled on me was cleared up by ebay in 1 day. I kept his money and the item. They made him pay for jerking me around for a month.

I agree they are a POS. I can't figure out what scam they are trying to pull. Why are they refunding money? It concerns me that they have my email address that is connected to my payapl account. I wonder if that is something to be concerned about?
