In 1998 I met this guy from Alabama named T.C., he was in Massachusetts for a few years for his job. He had all sorts of cool old stuff, including four or five visibles he brought up from down south. I ended up buying this pump from him. Not many visibles come up for sale in New England so I was happy to get it. The pump has been in my friends shop since I got it. I think I may finally be ready to restore it this summer. I'm not sure where I will be able to display it unless I pour a small concrete pad and put it outside. Leaving a pump outside makes me a bit nervous, for multiple reasons.

That is a great looking pump!!!! You are right...I rarely come across Visi Pumps in this area. Would love to own one in the near future after I curb my air meter addiction smile I dont blame you. With the weather we get here that one would have to be inside.

None of the ceilings in my house are even close to clearing it. I either put it outside or leave it at my friends place. Or I could display it without a base, but I don't really want to do that.

LOL, that was a good one! If I had two I would love to sell you one. I tried to buy another one up in Norwich VT. but the guy just would not let it go. I should have tried harder.

IMAGINATION MAN, IMAGINATION!!! Get creative with your ceiling and pop a hole in there and re-drywall around it - bad for the resale, but good for the pump!!!

Didn't someone on here sometime ago had a pic of a pump lowered into the floor for that same purpose?

I magination- The act or power of making up ideas in the mind,of what is not present,or how things might be.

My ceilings in garage are 10 foot. been looking out raising truss bottoms 3ft. off back wall 2ft. up, can lights in this strip, while I'm doing it. Havn't figured out how to make roof breath as ceiling will be higher than sofit& facial, but I'm going to figure that one out.

That's a nice pump, not bad in state it's in, I would come up with some way to enjoy it. Thanks for sharing it.
