Spoke with Paddy by phone this morning said it didn't rain tell 6 pm. Everyone secured their big signs so they didn't become projectiles.Seems the luck was with them, as it rained all day here, and then the big one last night.Glad it didn't rain on the parade.

I had never been to the Dixie Gas show, man was it a cool event! I snapped a few random pics with my iphone. I don't think I have ever seen that many signs in one spot ever! Signs I had never seen before, some I might never see again. Really a blast, and a bunch of great vendors.

We arrived at Dixie Gas on Wednesday at noon. As agreed , Chip allowed me to park the motorhome/trailer on my usual spot. We put the awning out, set out chairs and spent the afternoon visiting with Miles, Mike, Barbara, Wayne, Chip, Happy, Martha and a whole bunch of other folks. Beautiful day, great view, good company. At 4 A.M. on Thursday, Big Mike from Florida pulls in right beside me.....unhooks his trailer and starts putting out stuff for sale...LOL....Hard to sleep with that going on three feet away! We were up and selling by 9 A.M. with a fine turnout. Met some new folks that I had seen at sales/shows but never had the opportunity to speak with..Weather turned bad quickly on Friday so we got out after lunch and made it home....nine hours...fighting the cross winds all the way. Enjoyed the show as always. Paul www.severngaspumps.com

Great pics, Lots of goodies there. Could not help but notice ALL those undated re-pops that were there. Hope that guy got an earful, or better yet an ---full of buckshot.

...WOW...looks like 'lacie51' was there with a great selection of poorly made repro garbage...honestly, viewing the slideshow it looks like a LOT of repro stuff, overall: tin signs, porcelain signs, globes...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

I was there thursday, there was a lot of repo signs, but there was also a large lot of orginal signs, lots of large tire company signs, --my weakness-- had to keep my self in check and admire from a distance.

You have to remember this is a tourist town so it wouldn't suprise me if the repoduction sign guys done very well.

made it back this morning and as always it was a great show. Thanks to Chip and Happy for being such great host. Bought a few globes, a sign and a couple of cans. The most important and best thing about gas shows was being with old friends, meeting new ones and putting faces to some of the few members on here that I havn't meet before...I want to thank John (Gasstuff.com) for picking up the tab Friday night. To the guy with the Paris Hilton sunglasses that was expecting a hug from me...no way!!! Who in the heck started that ***** about men hugging other men? That had to start on the left coast. I'm a handshake kinda guy...
Right Jim?

The hugging thing started several years ago when Larry Nance saw me hugging Barbara Story and Mitzi Cox. He said....Hey....what about me? So I hugged him! Since then, it has been a ongoing thing at this show. I hug mostly the ladies but if a guy feels left out.....I'll give him a hug too. Stop by next time if you are feeling needy? Still getting my pictures together. The signs that stick out in my mind are the old Col. Sanders metal stand-up sign and a well abused Chevrolet sign that a fellow brought to sell for a friend.

Hey Owen, pretty sure Joey Whiteside (grabber on this site) had the Marathon sign. I believe it is still available.
