OK folks, I'm gonna jump in with both feet here. Sorry if I hijacked the thread. Been collecting since May of last year. Have a small collection. Went to Columbia to get an education. Well I got that and then some. Met some super nice (and helpful) people. They were glad to see some new blood. They were asking 995 for Dino. The cookie cutter was 9 ft. and asking 3k. was in nice shape, but had a few touch ups on paint. Dealers were friendly and knowledgable, but some were way out of the ballpark. One had some top quality goods. I am willing to pay for quality, but I am not going to pay five dollars for a snickers bar. Jim, sorry I didn't get to meet you, as well as others. Mark, it's a small world, isn't it? I bought the Derby sign from Mark. He wanted more, I wanted it for less, we settled on what I thought was a fair price. Thank you! I thought Mark was one of the few that had realistic prices. I know the details on the Deep Rock sign and am happy for you. Guess I kept my hands in my pockets too long! I thought the (working) jukebox and the pinball machine completed the atmosphere. Couldn't go home empty handed. The Kendall sign was new and inexpensive and will go by where we sit and drink beer in the shop. Feel free to chastise me if you desire, but I'm calling it as I see it............Oooookay, after much work and research, I can't upload a picture. I'll try later.

Stu sorry we didnt get to meet I did see you caring the derby out of the show, that was a good looking sign. You have to remember that at every show no matter if its Iowa Gas or Columbia there are those few that are high on there prices. You will see them time and time again with the same stuff for sale with the same price. But there are also those who are willing to deal with you if you ask. I mostly stick with globes and I normally buy from about five different guys and all were at Columbia today and all were willing to make a deal. I just had to to settle for one so the wife didnt kill me lol.

Originals only for me. Always looking for Simpson oil, Super A, and MFA oil cans and globes.
