I have been looking at the Hose Nozzles on ebay and can't figure any rhyme or reason in what looks like similar nozzles being SOLD with wide price variations. Here's three I have and while the last is New Old Stock and that's alway$ co$tly the other two are not all that different from it. I presume they are about the same age: 1st by my Attack Cat is a BUCKEYE-- 880F 2nd OPW-- 811 3rd NewOldStock w/box MsDonald-- 980AV Is any one particulary rare or hardly worth its scrap value?

We restore a lot of pumps each year. When it comes to the Forties/Fifties era, I always use these type of aluminum nozzles. We have boxes of them and as far as I am concerned, the vintage of the nozzle is correct. It might not be "THE CORRECT" item used from the factory, but who is going to be that picky? Oh wait.....yeah....there are a few guys who'll want it perfect! Anyways.....my point is that I see very little difference in the nozzles and price-wise they should be comparable. The key part of your question was "ebay"! Who the heck can figure out why some things are priced the way they are on ebay? A lot stranger things than that happen on a daily basis on that funny little trading site and most of it defies explanation!

Dick, I think you have to tell us if you are a Ford or Chevy guy for us to figure out your ranking! Or are you saying, all the same, no Caddys? John

The Roller Nozzle is more like a Classic Caddy! Nozzles above are like new autos.

Some nozzles were made to be disposable.

I have to admit I've been in this hobby for awhile but I don't know ANYTHING about nozzles. What do you look for? What is a "Roller Nozzle"? I could step on one and not know what it was. Has anyone done a feature on nozzles here on oldgas? Sounds like a good topic if someone knows something about them.

That is interesting! I understand now! But I really don't know why they thought they needed the roller bit in the first place. What company made these?

No knowledge of who made them, but were on early Tok. 850's. The last one that sold on ebay Wasn't marked TOKHEIM, but still sold for $400+.
Like a mouse trap, someone thought they had a Better idea.
