WHAT KIND OF PAINT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? BRUSHED ON LATEX? SPRAYED ON POLY?

IF IT'S BRUSHED ON LATEX YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO PICK IT OFF CAREFULLY WITH A SOMEWHAT DULL SINGLE EDGE RAZOR BLADE. HOW ABOUT GOO-GONE?

IF IT'S BEEN SPRAY PAINTED, I'M AT A LOSS ON A FIX FOR THAT SITUATION. I'D LIKE TO KNOW A RESULT FOR THAT MYSELF.

IF YOU HAVE GOO-GONE AND IT LISTS LATEX PAINT YOU MIGHT WANT TO TRY IT IN AN INCONSPICUOUS PLACE FIRST. YOU HAVE TO FIGURE THE SIGN ITSELF IS MOST LIKELY A POLY PAINT AND MAY'VE EVEN BEEN BAKED ON AT THE FACTORY?

CHRIS, ACTUALLY THE PRODUCT IS ACLLED "GOOF OFF!" SOUNDS LIKE GOO-GONE BUT ISN'T THE SAME. I JUST FOUND MY OWN CAN OF "GOOF OFF" WHILE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING ELSE AND THIS IS THE PRODUCT THAT REMOVES DRIED LATEX PAINT....NOT GOO-GONE. HOEP YOU READ THIS BEFORE YOU WASTE MONEY AND TIME.

There is another product called Oops. But they recently changed the formula and it is stronger. We use it a work to remove printed logos from plastic parts. After the change it now attacks the plastic. I am not sure why it was changed but we have had problems like this before. So watch the can for things like "Improved Formula". Even if you have used the product before.

I would try it very carefully but we used to use dow oven cleaner to remove painted lettering on trucks. If the top layer is a softer than the original sighn finish it may work. This may be a last resort

Uh, you might want to go to you're local hobby shop and ask them for some Polly-S Paint remover. This product will remove decals from plastics and not harm the plastis either. I do modeling and beleive mre I screw up paint jobs all the time . I would try this in an area thats not critical either. I also use CHEAP brake fluid too. however , this can reallya ttcck all paint quickly too, so be careful here.

Friend of mine found a sign painted over and he took FAST ORANGE hand cleaner, and worked it over with that. Hand cleaner was a little porous and had some citrus in it.

Easy Off oven cleaner. They have two kinds. I use the one with the harmful vapors.
