I have 2 different signs for sale, $45.oo each....the one sign is approx . 8'' x 14'' & these are from the late 1930's or 1940's..........

all of them have the paper still stuck to them but can be removed with some work..as stated above, soak in warm water & use your finger nail to remove the paper.....i don't have the patience however my girl has done several of them for people & it take her an hour or two...

Got both signs in the mail today from Darryl!

They cleaned up pretty nicely. Soaked them in the tub in warm, soapy water for about an hour and then carefully began scraping the paper and adhesive off with my finger nail. The bottle sign came out great. I did lose some paint in a coupe of spots on the smaller sign, but still looks great. Here's some before and after pics.

Thanks Darryl!

Mac

Does anyone know the story on these? They are every where you look any more. I'm assuming someone found an absolute ton of them a couple years back.

I've heard that there was a Cargo Train Car parked out back of the Nichol Kola bottling plant, and when the building was sold, these signs where found, BOXES Of them, all in paper, THey where sold off in lots by the boxload.. and yes you see them all over.. still a great sign and a good price at 45.00.

you can look at the response above from Mac to see how his cleaned up.......

Thanks for the purchases, i hope you understand that these signs still have the paper stuck to them & my girlfriend fiqured out the best way to remove it is to soak in water and she used her finger nail to scrape the paper off however you could probably use a credit card or something similar....I would not use anything that could scrape the paint off, like metal or something sharp & hard.........Thanks Darryl

they usually sell for more than i'm selling them for so that was not a very smart move doc, or the condition was not good, or it was a different version, or your way to frugal.LOL....go find another tin embossed 1930's or 40's soda sign in this condition for $45.....

Bought the bottle one years ago for like 30-35 still in the paper. Still hangs in the kitchen. I heard the same story on the find of those signs. The actual bottles are rarer than the signs.

Always looking for Ithaca Gun and Lucky Sam soda items!!!
