I understand that the were unauthorized reprodutions. Coke cola had that company stop making them...I was told thats when coke started with a mass reprodution of their own signs but never reproduced the policeman.
Less than 750 of those repops were made.
A good friend of mine has a real one....I have seen a few of the reproductions, based on condition go from $800-1500...
There is one with the coke base and is mint over in Texas...
I will pm you with the info.

Hey Wes. Here is a picture of the policeman that we have that's a reproduction on an original coca cola base. There is a guy that comes to the swap meet in Moultrie, Georgia that still had a couple of these in their original boxes. If you want me to, I can make some calls and see if I can get the man's name and phone number so you can contact him to see if he still has them. The guy did not have the coca cola bases. You would have to get that yourself. Just let me know. Thanks, Larry

Hi Wes, I believe A guy in Atlanta had about 800 of them made but he could not make them with the Coca Cola logo on the back or on the bases so they where sold without either! The problem is guys have made the decals and applied them selling them as originals! Anyway to answer your question watch eBay as they show up often in the $700 - $1000 range as I believe this was the original price!

Its very hard to tell but the base always has a date on bottom side if not it is a repo. Look close at the screws I was told by some one who has sold a few of the policeman the repos are good the screws may be the only way to tell.
