Having good and bad feelings tonight and thought I'd share them with all my Old Gas friends.
Dan Matthews spent the entire day here taking pictures, cataloging and then removing all my signs. You will all have a chance to bid on my collection at Iowa where I'll be seeing most of you and, yes, probably buying more items. But, for now, this is what I need to do and I'm feeling a little bit sad seeing all my "old friends" leave the garage and head on down the road. Knowing that they will all end up in other good hands helps.
See you all at Iowa
Ray

Wow, that has to be hard. I don't know you personally but I feel for you. Michelle says my "Treasures" have overgrown my boundaries and trying to downsize is very difficult. Good luck.

It was my pleasure dealing with Ray & Mary Sue (& Wesley) for over decade thru my auctions. Had I stayed in the auction business, I would've fought tooth & nail to sell the wonderful collection, though I know Dan will do a first-rate job. I had the honor of seeing it up close & personal in January of 2009, and for those of you that haven't, go to Des Moines, there will be fireworks I assure you!

If you've seen the group pictures already posted on Dan's website, there's some "killer" signs included. Save up your lunch money, boys & girls, some serious money will be changing hands in Des Moines!!!
