I wish I were there I would hand letter it for you, Ive done a lot of it so I would use a good bold font that would be the ticket for your greaser. If you plan to stay away from the everyday look of stickers and letter it yourself you could save a little work, and not use the word grease but go with the word lube. Have fun!

A decal specifying what weight lube was being used would be a nice touch.

80W/90 gear oil was commonly used with your unit.

I also put an original Marathon running man decal on mine.

Chris,
I think you should brand it! If you don't want to use stickers you could always get tins that you could very carefully form to fit the round body and rivet them into place. Just food for thought! Any idea what color you'll paint it?

You can make your own "water release" decals if you have an ink jet printer. The paper is found on the 'net and works pretty good.

I used it to make my 3 fantasy oil containers above my handy oiler collection. No raised edges like you mentioned on some vinyl decals.

Contact these people, to make sure. But I do think this product will work for your situation, plus it looks to be an upgrade from the decals I made a few years ago.
