Hi All, this is for sale at a Swedish auction site. What would be the time period for this logotype and what would be the market value? Thanks, Claes

Hi Claes, Brooklyn 1 is the postal code and would date it from 1950's to early 1963.
Looking for photos, etc from 60s era Shell-A-Rama gas station and Pal's Diner, Rt. 17 Mahwah, NJ & US or state highway signs, shields, route markers

Hey Metro, I thought it would be older due to the logo? There was a globe a while back (IIRC on this site) that was said to be from 1927. I'll see if I find that post. Heres a picture of that globe, maybe the owner reconizes it:

Hi, all. The use of postal zones (Brooklyn 1, N.Y.) definitely began in 1943, and ended with the advent of zip codes in 1963. So, the thermometer is no older than 1943. John

Yes it is an older logo that had continued use. That type of thermometer is definitely post war with the aluminum ring. Also was made for the foreign market (non US).
