Just finished redoing my M&S 80 (1951) and its great! Thanks to all on this list who have helped with suggestions and advice. One last problem. The door lock/closure mechanism is poor at best. you have to put body weight on the center of the door to get the pawls to begin to catch. And what do the springs under the cams do? the whole thing is just a friction fit? I'd like to improve this and make it a bit easier to opeate. Anyone improve on this design? Its a bit hard to discribe, but those of you who are familiar with this pump and design are with me I'm sure. Also will the Gulf employee who emailed me from PA regarding the Gulf paint color numbers please get back with me I'd like to email you a picture of the finished piece. You guys are great, can't wait to do another one now, thinking of a Tokheim 39. Maybe in sunoco colors. God, this is getting addictive.
