well, just wanted to say again what a great plce this is.since an unexpected snafu kept me from working on the bathroom floor,i decided to try and remove on of the cylinders from a 515.now i have done this twice before and was fortunate enough that the cylinders more or less came off when i removed the lids.real easy.these two pumps both had the bottoms filled real good with the **** glycerin stuff and i was expecting a challenge.took all day,but got 1 off and didnt break a single bolt,or the cylinder. the top came of pretty easy, scraped around it with a thin blade and it came loose.the bottom was full..soaked it with wd and pb blaster and scrped a little at a time.finally found the bottom.all the sudden i had my hand on the cylinder and the edge lifted right off.the biggest rule here is patience.thanks to all the great advice i found here!!mick

Hey I thought you were going to leave them in place,I take it they didn't clean up like you were hoping.I'm glad it's in one piece and looks super. One down one to go.Did the miller lights help steady your hands?I would need a few to do that project, then I would trip over the cylinder.
