Everyone has been bugging me about some pictures, so here is our pump restoration so far. The kids are really excited about seeing it go back together. We have taken everything apart and tried to clean and restore it as best we can. Thanks to everyone that has helped out on this project. Chris

Looking very good! I'm new to the forum so don't know the history on this one. Is this a School project? I've got three teens and can't seem to spark a interest in any of them. My son looks at me like I'm crazy for dragging this old rusty junk home!

It is a school project for the town. I pretty much pick the project and the kids go for it -- they know their grade is on the line!

I never knew those pumps used the bottom computer mounts. You taught me something today.

I just gutted one of these this week and let me tell you, they are the biggest pains in the neck to work with I have ever seen. A lot of torching was involved, busted knuckles, etc. they are beautiful pumps, but I doubt I will ever buy another Erie if I have to gut it, lol.

You know everyone out here is looking at that shop. Keeping a tidy shop is a valuable lesson for the kids as well. Wish I would have learned it at some time.

Looking nice, I hope you find the glass top.
Thanks, Phil _________________________________________________ Looking for any old pumps, or nice 5 gallon cans.

Looking good! When you get it done I'll drive down and look at it. I might have pumped gas from it in the fifties. I used to chase girls north of Burns and Egbert. Might have even been one of those kids grandma. Mitch
