I'm sure this has been discussed on here before, but please refresh me. I have a 7 inch globe ring. Does this mean a Standard crown globe went in it, or were there other globes that had a 7 inch base?

Some metal bodies have 7" bases & there are adapter rings out there for use w/ 6" glass, Capco's bases.
