Just found this pump and am picking it up this weekend, I think it's a Wayne 40? Looks to be an original globe on it. Sorry for the poor pictures, it's all I have until I get it home.... Jimmy S

I was going to say welcome aboard but then saw you've been a member from a long time ago. For only having two posts you got a dandy of a pump there. Mike

I have been after this pump for at least 3 years, it finally came available yesterday. Probably paid too much, but I like the "Found in the wild" look to it. It's missing the glass and the glass bowl but that's it... pretty cool huh? Can't wait to get it home to sit next to the "VIZO"
I guess "Just found" in my initial post should have read "Just bought"

Jimmy, I am the author of the Gas Pump Identification and Value book. I wrote the first edition in 2002, and the revised edition in 2008. Now, if you have purchased the pump you got a great buy, while we can't see the bottom of the pump, the only thing I can see that is missing is the outside sight glass. My book values this pump at $1800, some will say that in this economy that might be a little high, but for a Wayne 40, I don't think so, where else are you going to find one in this condition, besides, if the globe is an original you came out smelling like a rose. I noticed you have 4 posts on this site so you must have been watching some of the posts others have put on the site. My question is, why didn't you come on the site and ask how much this pump was worth before you went out to purchase it? I believe we would have all told you to get to the owner with cash in hand and grab it. Considering you got a great deal take another $23.00 and purchase my book from Jim (go to the top of the page and click on Bookstore). He will make $3.00 selling it to you and I will make the standard $2.00 for every copy sold. I'm really getting rich. If you had my book you wouldn't be asking if you did OK. If you like looking at pictures of pumps and other petro items check out my website: www.petrocollect.comIt is the largest website devoted to this hobby. Information about your 40 is shown on this page: http://www.petrolianacollectibles.com/wayne%2040.htmJack Sim Jack Sim

This is my Wayne 40 that I got at Fred's 2 years ago. It is all original (except hose) and is one of my favorites for sure. Great buy Jimmy and enjoy!
