A few days ago, when I posted on Old Gas that I was looking for a supplier for the fasteners that hold the faces onto a glass globe, I received two very plesant suprises!
1--I received a message from Doug Doneth (blackteetexacogold) and he was sending me some from his personal stash! This was unsolicited help and is the kind of thing that makes this hobby so great! The great people in it!!! Way to go Doug! You're tops in my book! laugh
2--I had also called Chuck Pergl before I had heard from Doug and he had some original ones for sale but they were the shorter ones and not what I was looking for! After explaining what I wanted, Chuck said he had some he had made and would send me some! Another example of a collector going out of his way to help someone else out! Way to go Chuck! You're tops in my book! laugh
Here are 2 examples of collectors that took time out to help someone without asking for any compensation whatsoever! I really appreciated the actions of these 2 individuals and wanted the rest of you to know about their actions!
I only hope I can help someone else out, like they did for me!!! Thanks again guys!

Known Chuck for awhile, real nice guy. Get a copy of his catalog if you don't have one.

Chuck sent a copy of his catalog along with his gift of globe bolts! I checked it out real good and I'm sure I'll need something from him in the future! grin
