While I was clean my gas tank of bad/smelly gas I got it on my hands and washed them several times and could not get them from smelling. I was told to use salt, yea table salt to wash my hands and it took away the smell of gas from my hands. Any body out there know of anything else that works to remove the smell. Doc

I've heard that any citrus fruit juice will help.

Scootdog is right about the citric acid. A lemon wedge or orange slice will remove the offensive odor. Also, the orange citrus hand cleaner available at most auto parts stores will do a great job too (plus it will remove the grease from your hands). Good luck!

Absolutely...The acid from a lemon or lime will do the job not only on your hands to get the "smelly gas" off, but will clean and DISINFECT anything in your kitchen that came in contact with raw chicken.
(What that has to do with "OldGas", I don't know...
just a tip from Frank the "Cooking Geek"

Doc, all of these tips work great; however, invest in a box of disposable gloves (like you see the dentist wear, etc.). You can use them for just about any job, cleaning tanks, tune ups, painting, gardening, etc. Almost no clean up time, wife/girl friends' REALLY like it when you show up on time with CLEAN hands & nails!! I know this from experience!!!!!!
