Send the guys from American Pickers over there and see what they would give for it. Maybe they can put it in Pawn Stars shop for $17,500.

I do not know who this is that is selling the sign, but it is no longer listed. However he said that he knew that the 'Ocean To Ocean Highway" was also known as Route 66. That is a bit hard to believe, since Route 66 went from Chicago Illinois, to Santa Monica California. The sign looks genuine though. Norm

The ocean to ocean highway was the Lincoln Hwy which didn't go thru New Mexico. It went from New York to San Francisco.

Its a rare sign, in pretty good condition considering most of the shield signs I have are alot rougher. Still, way high, sign is worth around 2500 to the right collector. Highway signs are sometimes a different group of collectors than only gas/oil collectors. I have 9 different Tennessee highway shields so I am aware of the pricing. Like I said, great sign, but not not much in this economy. Lincoln Highway, Route 66, and other specific roads will command more money than other less known routes. Same with gas/oil stuff. Gilmore collectibles always command big $ and so do specific roads to highway sign collectors. Just my 2 cents.

The sign I believe said National Old Trails Road which was the old rt 66. There are some new signs between Barstow and Victorville in Calif. that say National old trails Road and route 66.
