I took a roadtrip yesterday to pick up a Southwest visible, my first visible. I'm not even sure of the model yet....haven't looked at the tag in real good light. Is there anyplace to get a piece of chicken wire reinforced glass? 6" X 6". Amoung other things I'll need, the glass is one of them, the glass that goes in the cyl top plate. I know....pics needed....coming when I get a chance.

Try an architectural salvage yard, then take glass to any glass shop for cutting.

Pretty sure Ron Scobie can get you what you need, if he doesn't already have it.

Southwest pumps has always been one of the companies that I can't find literature for. I believe they made many more pumps than I showed in my Gas Pump Identification book. On a previous post I listed a long list of SW pumps that I am aware of, but don't have any pictures of. How about a picture of the pump you found? It will help all of us in identifing the next SW pump we found.

Jack, I'll post up a few pictures as soon as I can. I did see your list of pumps that you would like pictures for and I hope I can help you out. Kevin, Rick, and Dick.....thank's for the leads. The first thing that came to my mind were the doors in the grade school I went to in the 60's, then this afternoon at work, the back door to the shop had wire reinforced glass but it was the straight wire not chickenwire. When I get some time I'll have to scour the salvage yards here in town, then I'll resort back to Rick or Ron. Thanks guys.

I stopped by the shop this morning and had forgotten the camera. Snapped a couple with my cellphone but no way to get those to my computer. It's nothing "special", except to me, I'm pumped,lol...pun intended. It's an OK7, serial number 83698. It came with a repo cyl still in the barrel, skins are pretty decent shape...nothing close to rust thru. Gal markers are pretty good shape, etc. Could this pump be correct done up as Shell? I have the clamshell off the Tokheim GOC. I could do this one as Shell and just pick up a repo Gulf for the Tok. Any other info that can be garnered from the serial #, such as approx build year? Thanks, Louis

Why not , When I lived in Texas , I found a couple of " Origional " O K -7's as Shell regular . Found one in a little town in Oaklahoma as a Phillips that wasn't real restorable too. Ed Shaver
