A guy wants to trade me something for this, I assume it's WWII vintage, it's made of fiber board, appears NOS, any idea of value? It's the same size as a license plate. I don't know Mobil stuff at all, thanks

During the war the states only issued one license plate, this was a give-a-way for the front of the car.
You have to be old enough to remember.

Hi Neil, The one I have has one upper corner that is a little worn but other than that, nice, and I paid around $35 for it. About a year ago a seller had a pile of these on Ebay (prob 15 or so), all really nice, some with initials painted on them, and by the end of the pile I don't think they were even getting $20 a piece, as I think he flooded his own market for them. IMO a really nice one in the current market would be valued at around $50. Just my input.... Darin
