I wouldn't worry about skin exposure but DB is right ...don't mess w/ the dust, ESPECIALLY indoors.

Cylindrical visi glasses have the same stuff around the glass.
I stole this from a free site. grin

litharge-glycerin cement [′li‚thärj ¦glis·ə·rən si′ment]
(materials)
Mixture of glycerin, water, and litharge (lead monoxide) to give, when cured, an acid-resistant cement.

A yellow lead oxide, PbO, used in storage batteries and glass and as a pigment. Also called lead monoxide.
[Middle English litarge, from Old French, alteration of litargire, from Latin lithargyrus, from Greek litharguros : lithos, stone + arguros, silver.]

During my younger days I never took any precautions with anything. I hate to think of what I inhaled, ingested or absorbed through my skin. My hearing is already bad (I am almost 50)from using power tools and equipment (and going to more than one loud concert) without using hearing protection. Its better to be safe than sorry. If any doubt, use protection.
John
