Just got a real nice almost totally complete 600 but as seen in pic it has a little something or another sticking out under the valve. What is it? Also I need a handle for the valve and does anybody have some complete pics of a 600 out there so I can compare. Thanks guys in advance.

I just did a 450 for a friend. It had a lever that was attached to a rod so you could open up the drain back cover from the hose outlet. Don't know if yours is the same or not. Sorry all the pictures I took of the pump crashed. Richard

Will email Ron. Thanks. Not too many parts on any repro makers' sites.

I only need the little handle or mechanism under the outlet but he has the big handle and alot of other great parts just my pump is only missing the one doo-hickey thing-a-ma-bob. The parts breakdown is what I will get from him.

I have 3 of the 600's and none of them has that rod where yours is. They all 3 do, however, have the same flat boss there. Later/earlier year? Option?

Looking in Jack's original book(Sorry Jack, I haven't yet got the new one!), the factory photo or drawing shows the shut-off valve 180 degrees opposite of where yours is attached. In other words, the shut-off handle is very close to the gas pump and not on the outboard side of the valve itself. And it shows that rod that you have in your photo as being the rod that the shut-off handle itself is on.

It looks like somebody replaced the valve. I sent you a photo of one of my pumps with the valve and arm like you should have... Ron What you are looking for is a 1 1/4" "Powell Petrol". Ron
