DB raised a good point.
When I first started this stuff I was in my early 20's,
it was a downright obsession. Over the years I have learned a lot of lessons.
The next time you get disapointed in not getting the sign, globe , etc. that you wanted.
Think about it,,,,,(for instance) somewhere there is someone rotting away in prison for something they didn't do,
and all he WANTS is to go home. Put yourself in his shoes....that purchase isn't important anymore is it?
I'm sure there are worse scenarios.
REALITY...all this stuff isn't IMPORTANT....we don't NEED any of it.
We are all FORTUNATE to be having these opportunities.

I am kinda getting "gas pumped out". But I restored them all year and I really am sick of them this year - I will take a break but will be back in full steam in about a year or so. lol - or when I get that next big lead.

I have been through the gas pump BURNOUT.
That is one of the things that finally got the monkey off my back and made me realize what kind of obsession I had.
For 10 years I just built computers, and didn't have a lot of business at it either.

It was a request for a working clock mechanism in 2006 that got me back into the mainstream again.
So much had changed I felt like Rip Van Winkle when I saw some of the prices, and how much they had changed.
On the other hand there is more information about pumps, etc. now than there has ever been.
Even though I really don't "COLLECT" anymore, I still LOVE the stuff and now I have been rebuilding components for gas pumps for 28 years, and will probably continue to do so untill I can't.

I get more satisfation knowing there are about 1000 pumps out there w/ MY work in them, than I do from looking at a sign or pump I purchased.
The obsession is gone and only the love remains.
You should always RESPECT the hobby you love.....the reason why I date my signs, give free advise, and never try to hide anything on anything I try to sell.
