Hello,
I know everone has seen the commercials for Zap 2000. I was wondering if anybody has tried using to clean rust stains off of a porcelain sign. Looks like it would work good to get those pesky stains off around grommets. Would the chemicals damage the finish of the sign? I thought it might be better than using cleaners with abrasives. I have used abrasive cleaners before, and they leave tiny scratches and rub marks in the finish. I would also like to know of any other possible cleaners to remove rust stains.
Thanks for any info.
Jason

I use Muratic acid, it's quick, extremely effective, and cleans the gloomiest signs to like new condition, and doesn't harm the porcelain a bit. It's available at most hardware stores, use a fan to keep the air moving and wear a mask though, it's burns too!

Good old Naval Jelly works wonders for removing rust without harming the porcelain.
