I have the opportunity to deal on a large Union 76 plastic ball . I think around 5' dia. with the motor inside. There is a 14"dia. hole near the top. Does any one know what the value would be on this sign with the damage or undamaged? Also is it very easy to find the sign on the west coast? Thanks Rick Nelson

All sign companies were under contract to destroy all UNION 76 signage as it was taken down.

There was a sign guy a few miles away from my house that had one of these. He was asking $500 for it, complete and undamaged. At the time, I didn't have any money. Now that I do, the "ball" is gone and no longer sitting in front of his property.

I think maybe just maybe one or two union signs didnt get destroyed in the destroy process. Maybe the destroy conveyor was left running when the sign destroyers were on break. I think the glowing ball would look great at night. My neighbors would know when they are almost home. Thanks for the tip huskybob

There's one here in Georgia that I found. It's on a cantalevered pole and someone has painted the name of their business on it but you can see the 76 through the faded paint. It's for sale, not sure how much or how in the world I would get it home. The guy told me he has a lot of old pumps and signs (he was an oil jobber that recently went bankrupt)but I've been out of work a year and four months now so I can't do anything. I'm looking forward to the day when I can. I can just hear my wife and neighbors when I went to mount the 76 sign on the side of my garage!
