Anybody have any Info on this? I found it the other day and it was in todays mail. It has 2 holes in it like it was another part of a display. For now it is going into a matted frame away from sun light...lol, but I would like to know more about it. If need be I can take it out of the plastic its in for more pics.
Thanks
Donnie

I seem to remember "polly shoes" as a child. Tried to find info on them on the net, but nothing so far.

The shoe parrot is a different breed of parrot,
they don't look anything close to being alike-
it could be a distant cousin? I think I would rather
have the shoe parrot!

Boy - both of these look like "home made" artists rendition of parrots. If anything it could be a Amazon style parrot.

Here is a dealers photos that we work with form time to time:

http://www.birdsplace.com/html/available_macaws.htm

Our bird “my first son” is an 11 year old Blue & Gold. The Scarlet is the style of bird that you most likely associate with pirates. The Hyacinth is the largest of the parrots and very rare and expensive – the only one I have ever seen and handled belonged to my “late” best friend and he came from a family of billionaires in Beaverton, Oregon (NIKE founders), it takes about 13-19 grand to buy one of those solid blue parrots.

I would guess that the Poly Merized was based on the Severe Macaw, but that bird has feathers on its face?

The Poly gasoline bird is most likely a large Amazon style parrot or even a Hahns - they are little 8" birds - mine is about 30" tall.
