The rails were all warped from a fire so I replaced them with oak and had a lot of plating done on it. Looking back I see it was a mixture of Chevron products

I traded a old cast iron U.S. letter box to a guy in Mullin Idaho for the burnt up pump. It was in bad shape but the skins were fairly straight. They must have been because I am no body man. It's been quite a few years since I did it. For some reason the rails were tweeked and a friend told me they were hard to straighten so I put on my thinken cap and came up with wood I think I did buy some parts but cant remember which. I remember I had to weld some parts onto the base where it was cracked and missing befor plating. Rick Nelson Seriously I didnt stop in Wallas Idaho on the way!! (it's a north Idaho joke)

Beautiful job on the 60 and the 850..... if you can do work that nice forget the farmer spray paint restore.... you need to keep on doing the high-end stuff. Depending on when you got the Wayne 60 you might have had to stop anyway. When did they take out that last stop light on I-90? Something tells me that the Sugar Shack and the Oasis might not be there anymore....... say it ain't so Rick.

OUTSTANDING WORK!!
Being in the custom lumber business,I really appreciate the craftsmanship involved in doing something like that.So far I've limited myself to more basic work like bandsaw sign stands, map display racks and old barn siding display boxes.
That may just inspire me to do a 60.Thank you for the idea.

Love it Hillside. Did you bend the top piece of wood, laminate it, or was it cut from a large piece? John

There never were stop lights on the Interstates, that's why they build the Interstate Highways.

I lost track of this post till now. I turned the top on a large metal lathe then split it in two. I work with metal all the time and it's nice working with wood every now and again. Bob I was too young to have spent any foolish money in Wallas. Did you ever see the two Wayne 60 that sat in front of a old building on a side street in Wallis. I remember it was the last stop light on the interstate or what evere you want to call it. Every now and then I see a stop light come up for sale that is claimed to be the last stop light, from Wallas
