Hi,
I picked up my first pump last week and I am working to ID it. It is a Tokheim but the id tag is missing. It looks similar to the pictures I have seen of a 300, but it does not have a sight glass on the side panel opposite the nozzle?
It has a Tokheim plate the shape of a 300 sight glass mount on the nozzle side, but those are the only clues so far and I haven't figured how to post a picture to help everyone see it.
After I get the pump Ided I will have a few other questions on parts such as what is the correct nozzle and will a 39 base interchange with mine? (my base appears to be part of a set of pumps that bolt together)

Welcome, I would like to invite you to go to my website, almost 2000 gas pumps are pictured there, you should be able to find your pump on Gas Pump Literature, Tokheim. Also you should find the correct nozzle on the gas pump nozzle page. The gas pump book I wrote, mentioned above, is also available on the first page. www.petrocollect.comJack Sim

I've had 300's where the sight glass should be, inside it was blocked off. Manifold was still there even through it had the TOKHEIM tag outside over hole.
Get the Book & don't go looking for pumps w/o it ! I've got one in the truck & one by the computer. db

I've seen a Tokheim 39 with no sight glasses either - the faceplate was not punched, and there was a black circle on it where the site glass would be. I have a feeling it was a low-cost version. Pretty neat that it was a twin - that would be a nice set to have.

Hello agin, I am getting very excited to start tearing into the pump to see what other interesting things might be inside. I have ordered a key from a Tokheim parts distributor on the outside chance it might open the lock. The only ID on the lock was TPX and I have only been able to find one reference to a key which conincidently is TPX-83. Worth a try before I drill the lock. What is the worst thing that could happen? - It doesn't work If it is part of a twin pump, I will be torn as to whether to try and find the other half or do something else. I'll post more pictures after the key arrives and I get it open. (either with the key or by drilling. Thanks for all the help so far.

Being your 1st pump, TAKE LOTS of PICTURES as you disassemble. You'll need some of them later figuring out where & how some parts go back in. I would leave the frame attached to the base. jm2c db

TPX is the key you want. But I 'think' TPX 83 is a later model lock and the key might be double sided. I could have a copy of the TPX key made if it comes to that.

The TPX83 key has not yet arrived, but I will keep your offer in mind as I would prefer not to drill the lock. I dug through all my keys and did get a Steelcase key and the key to my Kennedy tool box to fit. All are single sided but none would open it. ( what a long shot that would have been ;))
